 What is in a name?Born on 29th of July 1905, Dag Hammarskjöld served as Swedish Foreign Minister from 1951 and from 1953 as UN Secretary-General until his death in September 1961 in a plane crash in North Rhodesia (present day Zambia).
Conspiracy theories hold that Dag Hammarskjöld survived the crash only to be shot, but no real evidence of this has yet come to light. Dag Hammarskjöld received the Nobel Peace Price posthumously in 1961. Dag Hammarskjöld can be seen in the pictures on the walls of the cafe.
